When we met so very long ago
I could have fallen at your feet
Our eyes locked in sudden joy
All it took was one heartbeat

Your silly jokes and twinkling eyes
You made me bloom like a flower
Gave me hope for love so sweet
Can’t believe you had that power

Where’s the fire and what’s the rush
Should we slow down, not burn out
You can’t plan everything on time
But what is this hurry all about

Love came in such a flurry
Not expected to rise so fast
But there was a big fire there
Who knew how it would last
