LIVING THROUGH LIFE'S CHANGES
I was 10, a wannabe cowboy;
but then I grew up
I was 17, a Socialist I thought
but then I grew up.
When I was 22, marriage called hard upon me,
but I grew up.
When I was 30, Life gave me a son
quickly I grew up.
When I was 36, divorce, marriage;
and with cool composure, I grew up.
What should I say about that sad day at 63
That I grew up? Hardly.
Here I am …married again.
Still showing up still growing up.
Life has taught me that
Nothing remains at age
It’s learning to become
What God wants from us
And its all remedial.
