Should we consider freedom as the
Granted right to do:
Whatever we want,
Whenever we want and
In
Whichever manner it pleases us
Or
We should think it as
The liberation of ourselves
From the
Tyranny of passions’ impulses that
Constantly demand to
Exceed our measures in
Words and in deeds, regardless the
Consequences?

It is an excellent poem, sir. You always have serious topics in your poems, which make them a delight to read. As for today's question, freedom is a very dangerous knife. It can easily cut the hand that misuses it. Freedom should spring from the soul of people and free them from every negative impulse. It should reach humans to love and unity.

You right! As I insinuate freedom is the liberation from our passions and not the given right to do what we please!Thank you for your thoughtful comment!

What a profound poem, my dear poet. You raise very very important questions that it would do us good to ponder. I wish I had more control over what I do and say! The Bible says that a person with no self control is like a city without walls. Esai kala? Elpizo afto...mou lipis!
