The Most Modest Dance I Know

Sure, you could dance in the fire
Under the oily back sky. Swing wildly
in front of a crazed audience.
But why would you want to?
Wanting to live vicariously through your own
Fantasies; you cannot save the world by your
own madness. That much I have tried.
And believe me,
I tried.

It’s much easy to live and do things
for the passion of it.
Just dance by yourself,
In front of the modesty of your
own mirror.
The world does not need to see.
