Darkest of Times

	In this darkest of times,
	come, be with me,
let us live our lives by moments,
tie ribbons to this morning’s rain,
	count the clouds,
	sing to each other
in a language known only to us,
	lie still on white pillows,
	shelter in place.

	Then, it will not matter.

That's very nice of you. I suppose it's a reflection of my pessimistic nature, driven, I suppose, by such events as this morning's report that CO2 levels are now the highest in three million years, and are on the rise. In this instance my glass is half-full. Thanks for the nice compliment though.

I loved the atmosphere of calm and letting whatever comes be in this poem. Tie ribbons to this morning's rain? Oh if only that were possible... but it's good to dream. You are indeed a fine poet, Jack. Keep it up!
