Stay Afloat

After Cain murdered Abel, and moved to the east, evil and violence continued and never ceased. The devil lives in the hearts of all men. I must tear everything down and start again. There is only one man and his family of worth. I shall spare them to repopulate the earth. For forty days and nights, the rain shall fall. The evil shall perish. The flood will drown them all. Noah, you and your sons are skillful by hand. You will appear strange building an ark on dry land. Take all the animals of the earth by twos. The hardiest that can be found you must choose. With the strongest of wood, you shall build that great boat. You, your family, and the animals, will be safely afloat. Written especially for our fellow souper, Mystic Rose.

Great reminder of one the most incredible stories in the bible. I liked how easy-flowing it went. It's interesting to know that there are over 300 different versions of the ark story from several different beliefs, all over the world. It reinforces my faith that it truly did happen. Hope you are "staying afloat" on your side of the screen, my friend!

It is amazing to think that all of humankind came from that one man and one woman or from their three sons and their three daughter-in-laws..Enjoyed reading this creative work..It has great rhythm, rhyme, and flow...Thanks for stopping by..I wonder why they named the mouse a mouse?..Sara
