The corner of the sign caught my eye,
"YARD SALE" was all it read.
My car was trained on what to do,
As it turned it jerked my head.
As I rounded the corner of that busy street,
I could not believe my eyes.
This was the biggest yard sale I had ever seen.
It stretched as far as the big, blue sky.
There were clothes, what-nots, toys and curtains,
An umbrella and even a car!
My mind was lost in the moment.
Then I spotted that simple, little jar.
The sign read "DONATIONS PLEASE",
And a picture of a child was there.
She had the most beautiful, big blue eyes;
But sadly she had no hair.
My heart knew what I needed to do,
Though little money I had.
I really wanted that umbrella there;
But her eyes looked oh so sad.
So, I emptied my change into that jar,
And peace flowed over me.
God turned my life around that day;
Through a "YARD SALE", He made me see.
