Fire Water Air And Earth

Fire ignites in the spirit, forging the metal of our soul. And during exaltation, flames can envelope us whole. Water quenches all of life, replenishing the ocean. And saturates living cells, like a magical potion. Air recharges lungs with breath, oxygenating our blood. And takes carbon dioxide, allowing flora to bud. Earth's essential for good health, holding minerals we need. And those precious elements, are all absorbed when we feed. We're fire, water, air and earth, alchemist once understood. And strove to share their insights, through the ages the best they could.

This is an entertaining elemental poem for me to read. I especially like the analogy presented in the 1st stanza: fire igniting spirit and forging the metal of our soul -- the age-old quest of the Alchemist.
