My Face

My words are the same
But would you read more of me
If you saw my face?

Howdy, Howdy, Eileen. Feels good to inspire something in someone else...peek a' boo...the painted hunter sees you!...do you see me?..ha

For me looks never have and never will take precedence over a poet's writing. I comment to a good number of poets who don't bother to post a pic. That said, your welcoming smile is a sure winner, Eileen. :)

There's lot of famous writers that affected many, that weren't exactly the "most appealing to the eye"... just look at Edgar Allan Poe. This reminds me of a restaurant I used to go that got shut down. The few that ate there LOVED it, but no one was very enthusiastic about trying something new because the outside of the building looked very drab. You gotta give people a chance. Some have beautiful bodies but are ugly inside. Some have so much to say, but no one listens because of their looks...

I heartily agree, Timothy. Yes, tis true tis true, but beauty is an asset. We can't deny that, but your post rings true in many ways. Thanks fo reading and posting! :)

Yes...there is so much that the face reveals...even the choice of Avatar reveals much about a person. Thanks for the explanation about Concrete Angel. :)

Hi Ilene! I'm glad to hear that. Not everyone is like you! I'm very visual and though titles and subject lines do draw me....faces do as well! :) Hey...you have a pretty smile! Hugs!

Do you mean your work on here or you as a person, Clarify. I hate these three line puzzlers lol

Peronally I would read her work, if I liked it I would read more, her looks would not influence me at all. Never judge a book by its cover, point here really, is she a good writer

Oh....I thought it was clear. I meant here on the SOUP! Avatars are always very appealing. I wrote a poem on that, remember? I just introduced my student who has entered the site and she is knock out beautiful. She won our unis beauty pageant. I put her pic up on my album on FB cause I now more people will read her if they see her face. Sad...but true!
