Marigolds

The flowers stand firm within the cool wind The stems don’t break in two by the quick breeze They’re lovely looking, a fragrance they send The sun shines down on the flowers with ease Their beauty glows high, kind-of brings a tease These browns and yellows are sure delightful The rains make the flowers grow quite prideful They are Marigolds, a real lovely sight The life of these flowers are meaningful Someday they’ll surely stay in the sunlight

Enjoyed reading this one today..I like those petite marigolds that are the brown with orange or yellow..Their scent is not very glamorous though..Deer don't like them which is good..Thanks for stopping by..Your words were uplifting..Sara

It's May 1st today, it is the spring month - many trees and flowers should be in bloom now ..... here it is still cold, rain and cold north winds. - Thank you for your lovely poem Russell. - oxox / / Anne-Lise :)
