I can feel your shock and disbelief and it tears at my heart. My husband had open heart surgery at Stanford hospital 7 years ago. We were so afraid he might not return from the operating room and for 10 hours I felt the overwhelming dread of him possibly not making it. I am so sad for your loss and commend you for Writing it down in such a way that others can realize there are others with the same emotions of loss. May you find peace. SuZ

WOW! thank You for sharing this most intimate story, one that has changed your life forever. I don't know what to say...I cried through most of it because I can literally feel what you must have felt going through that experience and then reliving it through your writing... I had started a poem a while back about my wifes' last day but it was to painful to complete...maybe one day... Bless You!

Yes this is the perfect place for it if it helps you to heal. I lost my husband just as suddenly many, many years ago. I still write about it. Love, Joyce
