O balmy whispers upon mine face,
Sweet caresses of ardor befell from grace.
Beloved darkness awakens deified eyes,
A crescent moon adorns benight skies.
Upon lips soft as an amber glow,
Belated kiss to me bestow.
How hast I slumbered in restful sleep,
Whilst thou resides in heaven's keep.
Pray tell mine beloved true,
Fore hast I nay bid thee adieu?
Hast I nay entombed thou soul,
Beneath sacred emerald knoll?
Thine soul shine from heavens floor,
From mine embrace thou art tore.
Restful tis I but found in mine dream,
Thou bequeath a vision with thine esteem.
Phantom arms shelter this forsaken hearted,
Mine angel of earthly realm departed.
Canst I be spared from love's despair?
As life's course perpetuates so unfair.
Once in one's lifetime thou may obtain
A soul-mate within this wretched plane.
I shall linger forlorn till I find,
Thine celestial hand again in kind.
