there are too few stars
to count living here -
I toss and turn all night
thinking the world is less
beautiful than it is

Good morning Tim, remind me to send you a soup mail later. I have to take off now but I have something I want to talk with you about and i don't want to forget. Have a great day.

this is quite an interesting poem, timothy. (or do you prefer Tim?) Thinking the earth is less beautiful. It sounds like the thoughts of a frustrated person and I can relate to feeling that way sometimes. Fortunately, not too often! oh and I just realized you could be referring to a dissatisfaction of location. ARe you in a place where you miss your home?

I honestly don't mind either way (as long as it's not Timantha... hahaha). Not, to tell you the truth I'm used to not seeing stars. It isn't until I visit my grandparents cabin in the woods, that I realize how BEAUTIFUL the sky was intended to be. But also there's a hint of frustration as well...

If you look real close there will be too many to count. The beauty that is closest to us is the hardest to see. Well said Timothy.

I didn't actually think about it that way. I liked how you saw it differently than I... it's cool when that happens :)

I LOVE star gazing. Oh...to lie down on the roof and look up at the stars and let imagination control. I had an amazing dream on night about the constellations passing by me one by one! Awesome. So, Timothy...lovely words...penned to perfection, but....why the sad twist?

Sounds like a dream to envy! This poem is open for interpretation, but basically what I was trying to get at is how technology can sort of disconnect us from the natural beauty. And when this disconnection happens, we toss and turn... we're uneasy.
