A little girl runs in a meadow of flowers.
She twirls with her arms stretched out.
Giggling until she falls to the ground.
Catching her breath, she looks around.
Wildflowers look exactly like her name.
A crown she weaves for her golden hair.
Running barefoot, blooming in the summer sun,
Ponytail swinging, "I'm a wildflower!" She sings.
As her crown begins to wilt,
The young woman's daydream comes to an end.
She longs for that little girl she once was.
Wildflower walks from the meadow with a slight grin.
