craig, I had no idea this poem was yours, but I was dying to find out who'd written it! it captivated and impressed me from the first reading, and it was very nearly a stand alone 2nd place but I placed joyce's poem alongside it because I thought the two poems complemented each other (I did wonder about the shift in tense in the last few lines, couldn't decide if it should be present or past like the rest of the poem, I'm really not sure, what do you think?) congrats on your win in my contest

I love your phrase "a gaggle of egos". lol. Very apt indeed. I think you'd like to have a look-see at my "Poetic Justice", which I had to bisect because of its length. Nice write, Craig. My very best of luck to you in the contest. :)
