Love it. I always think of Debussy's La Mer, the tone pictures. Love, daver

Hi Connie, I must admit to not being a lover of the sea but I do admire it's beauty. It is my constant view from our veranda here in Paphos. After reading your Haiku, I see a different sea. Great read thank you and congrats on your life membership.

This is most interesting, Connie. I've never thought of the ocean this way before. But I guess it's true we're not always butterflies & rainbows. Sometimes were grumpy and ungraceful. Cool haiku!

I agree with Chris, btw I can be all of the above---thankfully usually calm but probably not serene--lol

Aha! You did very well with this haiku, Connie -- it is a unique(and I am using "unique" in a positive manner....some people can get offended by supposed implications of the word), one-of-a-kind haiku. Yes, this is an entertaining haiku read for sure.

How true! I like how you thought of this, I never thought of it this way, and it sure does seem that the ocean can express itself better-- wonderful haiku, dear Connie. Thank you for saying what you say about my poem, I am just so humbled with what you said. Means so much to me and I feel guilty, not being active in PFT as well... I hope you have a great week and thank you again, dear! hugs to you!

Connie, I,m not a big fan of Haiku but I have to admit that this little one liner of yours says more than a lot of poems with multiple verses. The words serene and surely are of course, the antithesis of one another and I applaud your choice of using them. Also, thank you ever so much for visiting my corner earlier and commenting on "Concerning the Nature of Creativity." Glad you approved & hope to see more of you here in "PS." All the best, Terry
