Under the Sakura Tree

sipping saki under the sakura tree. . . a haiku blossoms Note: Drinking and eating under a blooming cherry tree (Sakura) is a century old custom in Japan. As a result, "flowers" in haiku came to be known as "cherry blossoms."

And no, you've never asked about why I use the face paint, but we have talked about both being part Cherokee. I can tell...your cheekbones and dark complexion give it away.

Wonderful wit Andrea! This is something special metaphorically. I like to think that some downtime for the brain leads to creativity. You have created a beautiful space for just that which I shall use when I need to relax a bit. Relaxing is something I find hard to do so I need all the help from you I can get!

Oh yes Andrea! thank you also for the information you provided. Many don't enjoy haiku, but I think it is because they don't understand it that well. It is beautiful art within a poem!
