MUSTANG SALAD

I'll bet you Five, I'll bet you Ten,
I'll even wager Fifty,
That you can't make this "Stang" wake up,
And hit an even Sixty!

The boy looked round and took his eyes
 From off the road ahead
I'll take that bet, I'll make it do
Much more than that, he said

Fifty-five and Sixty came,
When Eighty-Five flashed by
And with it passed that Mustang
Into the bye and bye.....

I'll bet you Five, I'll bet you Ten,
Yeah, I'll wager Fifty,
That these new Wings will carry us
A pace to better Sixty

Off they go and race like mad
They've torn the place into?
Better shift again .....boys,
Old Satan's .. after.... YOU!

Judy, my apologies, but I haven't yet figured out how to send soup mail. I would appreciate it if you would delete my contest entry, "Grandfather Haiku." I am concerned that the content may be offensive to some, and I don't want that to happen. Thanks, Jack Jordan

The poem is beautiful following a seemingly careless but also attractive form of expression. The verse is made for lyrics through the poetess' perception and attending. I thought I listened to the banjo strings going crazy while the "'Stangs" accelerated. Thank you Jody for the smiling write!

If anyone can read this once, or twice or thrice and comment on it's merits should step back and view the canvas again, and I shall, because it's a quicksand of thought that I would like to wade into again. Rebel without a cause?? Don't know--perhaps a smidgen?? Love this, Later!
