Inscriptions

Light breezes moan through dawn's cracked window
I, wrapped in ivory silk, you as always, linger in place
Anticipating our morning ritual, sleepy desires move
Pleasured senses guide our thoughts in sync

Rhythmic expressions, elated vibrations
Fidgeting fingers lightly caress
At last the font gushes, between unfolded pages
Wherein chapters of new life begin

    I struggle to end my poems as strongly as I open them, but you, you do not have this dilemma at all. You always seem to bring the whole thing home and into perfect perspective in your last line(s) or stanza. Awesome work as always, Karen :)

    Indeed a sensual analogy of the love-affair between the poet and pen -- a relationship of creation, catharsis and a release that can bring us closer to ourselves once the cage door is opened and our inner wings come back to roost under their own choice.

    Very sensual, Karen! There is so many directions you can go when you are talking about the pen and it's multi-layered personalities! You shared that moment of clarity where you and the pen are thinking the exact same thoughts... the sweet spot we all look for and relish in when we've found it. Awesome!
