Overcast

Morning was cold
The slowly brighting sun ineffective
Wet air constantly relocating

(Wait for me)

The sun turned over
Napped in grey blankets
Rain
Sweet with ozone
Fell
Soft patter drank the earth
Our hair
Clothing
Skins
Gave itself to be a part of everything

(He did not speak)

All that the rain became
A part of
Sent cold water (no longer rain) in its course
Through dirt and roots
Up through the network

And when the wind and water and rain
Ebbed
The sun threw back his blankets
And peach blossoms
Pink and warm
Whispered

(Peace)
