Thought of the day

What reward has the man who helps with no gain?

What worth has the thread that forces the hand?

What joy will he get when struck down for his care?

What closet intention is there to be had?

Without any spotlight, or round of applause

Does a Kind man still show kindness alone?

If his motives are noted and put to a vote

Does it drill in his head and burn in his throat?

Does it make him forget his intentions were noble?

Or will it drive him into the shadows to care?

If reputation is won with pretentious nobility

What has the loner to gain from integrity?
