Clap Trap

Don't let that tongue flap
like the clapper in a bell.
Don't sling that clap trap,
there's no water in the well.
Death comes too fast damn
the ringer takes a toll
kickin' out the jam
Sam will get you on the dole.

Sometimes it appears evident to me that the only contemporary artist that can, and have the will to recusitate the art of 'poetry' is the 'rap industry', because you certainly will struggle to dicover poetry of quality anywhere, including the 'journals' - poetry is dangerous, and a lazy population lacks the motivation or mind to develop creative strength, or to appreciate it - J.A.B. %

Cool, Debs!! On my morphed poem, I only did tanka because it was a short way to do it and I have been too busy to spend a lot of time on poetry lately. I don't know how the tanka was confusing but I agree with you a longer version would have been more inventive. If I ever get some time, I will try another way.
