Lying on a Bench

She lies on a comfortable warm bench One that is embroidered and very soft There is a lone light within this dark room The bench is near a window in a loft The mood light glows from behind a curtain And the light leaks on through onto her book So she can read the great romance novel She’s lying on the bench in her small nook Outside it’s nearly dark, and the rain starts There’s an ambience within this room now She sighs a pleasurable sigh with awe The feel of this space brings peace as allowed She pulls up a blanket, the window’s cold Her book doesn’t quite make her embarrassed Where it would warm her up from the inside The bench of which she lies finds her fairest
