About This Poem

Pull Back The Day

Simple words to written shall, start to story, few will tell.
For my fear of self is getting weak, the longer thoughts, of truth I seek.

Pull back the day, uncover moments, lost along the way.
State clear through thought, for the here and now, can hear you say.
Between these moments, time stands near, void of life, and death and fear.

Focused wide view cosmic vision, unto my unknown knowing, life's transition.
When dream is given same, and now remains willing, taught for tame.
Gentle plight, defies might, and pure love light, comes clear to sight.

Painful times do bring me choice, to stay within, or give to voice.
The simple truth, clouded through life, lost at youth.
This ego thrives, kept in dark of night, pull back the day, let in loves light.

The more I give of gentle loving now, the more I get, this way does vow.
I question not the inner work, of giving more, great gifts do lurk.
Without the thought of what shall be, the more I give, the more I see.

Pull back the day, my soul does say, stay in the now, be blessed this way.

Pull back the day, stay in the light. For darkness shall not win the fight.

Pull back the day.
Give love I say.
Pull back the day.
Light finds the way.

The story is fantastic, and the wording was worded gracefully. I really like this poem, I hope to write this well someday. -Steven

I think this is one of the most beautiful poems I have read in a long long time, dear Gypsy King. Spoken like the true heart of a gypsy soul. I will fav this gem, so I can re-read it on a sunny right day, it is 6am here in Toronto, just drank my first cup of coffee, and all is well with my world, sending you a big hug, hope you brave the day like a true hero that you are xxx Mystic Rose
