About This Poem
Jesus Found Me
Jesus Found Me
Jesus found me
Standing in the shadows
Alone and feeling empty
Could not find a place to go
The shoes upon my feet
Were all tattered and torn
Still he found me
For he loved me since I was born
The snow outside
Left a blanket before me
One that I could not slip inside
To get warm eventually
I was barely able to stand
I had not eaten for days
Still Jesus found me
And took my fragile hand
We walked for a little while
Or so it seemed
My body became stronger in the meanwhile
Everything felt beautiful like a dream
He stopped before me
And let go of my hand
He smiled so gently
As if he had this planned
He told me that I could stay
In this place called paradise
My suffering will all go away
As I embrace eternal life
I nodded my head because agreed
To walk to heaven’s door
For Jesus found me
Where my suffering will be no more
