My Great Madness

My artistic temperament
between great madness and art
is a creative necessity
Of emotional highs and lows.

My pen is mightier than the sword
And so I release my great madness of my muse.

'The pen is mightier than the sword' was coined in 1839 by Edward Bulwer-Lyton for the play, Conspiracy.

Connie a wonderful write..I liked it a lot. As for below comment, it is simply amazing the poetry inspired from the bible..I recognize much as I read books and even songs. A great example to follow I'd say.

My poetry will bring me out of my craziness that I am in! I could create something real, or something imaginary, its all up to my creative side! Like you I feel it's coming somewhere between art and madness, I know exactly how you feel with that one! And there is always some sort of emotion within our poetry that we all write! I feel that some of us think there isn't much within our poems, but there is always some! You have written a spectacular piece Connie, Great Work!!
