In the world that we live in things are amiss.
We no longer welcome Gods heavenly bliss.
Through the swamps of sin we have swam,
not caring what awaits us as we near the end.
In his garden of beauty we could soar,
but this gift that awaits us we choose to ignore.
How long will he watch as we tear at his heart?
How long will his children tear him apart?
A path to his door he lays at our feet,
yet we turn our backs and choose to retreat.
The truth of what’s right is carved in our minds,
yet we choose to resist and live our lives blind.
Jesus knocks gently on our front door,
but we pretend to be sleeping until he knocks no more.
We go to our churches and give rise to his name,
then on the next day we cause someone pain.
Open thine eyes children of the Lord.
Fear not the evil of Satan’s hordes.
Lift up thine hands and praise the Lords name.
You will find that Love and our Savior is one in the same.
