Pieces

Gathering odd bits and scattered pieces
I lay on silken sheets of pristine white,
a soft, lavender scent, aired, releases ...
daily sorrows and fears of painful night.
Rising on an astral cord, I hover
all smiling at my earthly nascent self,
wandering, wondering, fractals a glow
we light beings uncover
a unifying geometry ourselves.
Do come, come and join our playful tableau.

You pull things together in such a unique way and with vocabulary a step above and step outside yourself. Congrats

Ouch! This one blows my mind! The last three lines puzzle me... and I love it! : ) The persona starts in first person and then changes to 3rd person. Pieces of ourselves? We are more than one person? Duplicitiy? Roles? : ) I'll be back to keep guessing...Good luck in he contest! Ruben.

I am thinking this is someone just "soul traveling" Do you believe in it, Debs? It is something that I heard some people can do and I really would love to know how to myself!! So interesting how you made lavender be the fragrance of your spirit!

Astral flights Debs? Vistas and visits sometimes just a flight of fancy where one will "come and join our playful tableau". I'm not certain if they will vanquish those "daily sorrows and fears of painful night" but I'm sure they can give some form of reassurance and relief. Feels bitter-sweet, Debs. So wishing you the best.....Love, Mikki
