Shattered Pieces
Shattered Pieces
Shattered pieces are all that remain
Of a love that brought so much pain
Still they reflect all the scars not blind
In mirrored images left behind
Sharp they are like thorns from a rose
Making one bleed when they are exposed
Impressions of deceit and lies
In shattered pieces left undisguised
Tears that tried to drown in the rain
Still show a reflection of deep inner pain
Pieces left to bleed having been touched by the thorn
That left a woman forever scorned…
