Journey's Once Lived

Journeys Once Lived I became a poet in my journeys once lived An inner compass now filled of wisdom that I can give Through lines on a paper expressing my soul Of times good or bad that I have embraced so… The roads in my life that I have trended Brought me closer to a place where my heart has mended Thus allowing poetry to be my greatest therapy Releasing the core of my soul from its wakened memories… Words I now express were once locked up like a hidden treasure To one day be discovered through my heart’s surrender A passion of words today set free of journeys once lived From memories that reflect through my poetry of all I had to forgive…

Gail; This is so true. The journey's once lived is what sometimes makes us become writers. Sometimes I write on paper - what I can not say outloud. Thanks for this beautiful poem. Lucilla
