Snail's Pace

Summer
And the city air tastes like a dream
Mirages above sidewalks at 8 am
The freeway kicks and screams like a spoiled child
But I won't give in to them
Stress
It is written on so many faces
I'm sorry, but I won't be taking their places
I walk like a snail at a pace where I'm free
While people drive like lunatics
To go home and watch TV

I like the pace Kyle, gives a person time to stop and smell the roses and so much more. You've got the right attitude and remind the rest of us in your poetry! :)
