In A Pine Box

In a pine box there is no such thing as later,
or time to help your neighbor.
No more time to make amends.
No more time to reach out to your friends, or
time to make new friends.
No more time to pick a side, to execute those plans on those
dreams that you were working on.
No more time to eat your spinach and work on those dangerous
love handles, or to light a candle in order to see where you are going
or to perhaps kneel down and pray that you a grateful for another day.
No more time to fight the grays and smooth the wrinkles, because now you
are on the other side of forever.
No more being clever.
No more time to get it right!
