About This Poem
A Poem For Ava
The measure of a person,
I do not preconceive.
For in the long-run,
the measure, is in what you believe.
I do not pass judgement,
based on the color of your skin.
My judgement based on the imprint,
left on this earth from within.
For in your smile,
the beauty I see.
An endeavor worthwhile,
to persevere happily.
Your actions louder than words my friend,
a belief in which we all should transcend.
