Moon Is My Muse
The moon in the night sky inspires me to write.
How can we miss it when it shines so brightly?
It encourages me with its awesome light.
I have been joined by quite a bit of company.
Up in the sky, it is not really very far.
Monthly, it only shows one face.
Being close by, it outshines every star.
We are never completely in the dark at any place.
It is more than just a big rock in the sky.
For lovers, it makes many evenings romantic.
That golden orb is something nobody can deny.
There is nothing closer to being totally semantic.
Yes, I would have to say the moon is my muse.
It is also something a lot of other writers choose.
