About This Poem

Paperback Writer

It didn’t help that the room was badly lit
Or the fact that the music was playing loud
I saw her face and I knew here comes the sun
I’d give her all my loving and lift that cloud

As soon as I saw her standing there, all alone
I couldn’t just let it be, she is going to be mine
As others approached her I murmured, get back
I call your name, hey Jude, you said 'I feel fine'

That stolen first kiss was like a taste of honey
I knew then that I’ll follow the sun for you
It seems like yesterday when we first held hands
You looked me in the eyes and said ‘love me do’

We knew that all you need is love to come together
You did all you could to please please me, to get
My heart. I said I want to hold your hand! And
Shout out loud ‘Do you want to know a secret?’

Baby it’s you I want to spend the rest of time with.
Together we can work it out, as we have before
If I am to be a paperback writer, then P.S. I love you
I know you love me now and when I’m sixty four

( I thought I would add this as lots of people have asked how many titles
are in it, I think there are 23 including the title, I may be wrong)
