She often reads her books but now she’s reading your look
He often eats his pies but now he’s eating pie in the sky
I often pray for you but now I’m praying that you’ll stay true
He likes to lie to me but now he’s lying to take me from you
And we played this game all summer in 95
I wanted to die I was so alive
And the thrill and heart break took its toll
I was a toy and you were a doll
They often talk behind our backs but now they’re only talking facts
We often cry because of their words but we’re only crying because it hurts
He often laughs at his crafts but now he’s surely laughing last
She often leaves because she could but now she’s leaving for good.
