I am Change
I Am Change
A Prose
By Richard Hovelsrud
Theme: Revolution
I am Change
I am just a cocky Post-Modern-Indoctrinated-Anti-Colonial-Far-Left-Left-Wing-Radical
I am Change
I will break into these nation-states of class-conflict and rage against the machine, and shift the motors and the wheels of this elitist capitalist system.
I am Change.
I will Occupy Wall Street, Storm Capitol Hill, Break Down the front door of the White House, burn the Patriot Act and make the czars in office answer for their sins of killing in the name of patriotism, no blood for oil.
I am change.
I will fight to my last breath to preach to my generation the word of equality, and that a person’s wealth should not exempt them from certain societal obligations that we all hold to each other, because we should pledge to our flag, not to our incomes.
I am Change.
We may hold radically fundamentally contrasting views on how a country should be run, but that shouldn’t mean that any one person’s opinion should be privileged over another’s, and when we disagree we should not label one person more American than another, or claim their position to be unconstitutional. Because in America, we are all Americans, and that is what makes America great.
I am Change.
But you are also Change, and we must go out together and uphold the incredible responsibilities that come with the title of
“American Citizen”,
My Fellow Americans,
We are Change.
