About This Poem
I Breathe You
In an ordinary day, when life takes over
Expending more energy than I have to give
My head is spinning and I’m feeling dizzy
I stop for moment and breathe you in
~Three deep breaths~ with thoughts of you
Only then can I do what I have to do
You give me the strength to carry on
You’re the music to my soul’s tranquil song
At night, before I can relax my body
I need to hear that you’ll watch over me
~Three deep breaths~ as I close my eyes
I sleep undisturbed in a peaceful night
And wake to feel your gentle touch
The things you've said which mean so much
Come floating back as if still a dream
Then my day can begin again
An ordinary day, when I’m busy with life
~Three deep breaths~ with you on my mind
9 x 365= 3,285 breaths per year
