Patiently Awaiting

Upon the seas there sails a mighty ship
Her hold is weighted down with precious gold
She sails across the wide and surging sea

Alas! so dark and stormy is the sea
The men in fear and quaking grip the ship
The waves have no regard for chests of gold

While sailors try to lift the load of gold
The hull is damaged further by the sea
And rocks of distant shores have crushed the ship

Now lies the ship and gold beneath the sea

_ Form is both tritina and iambic pentameter _

Images of many things in this that sound like a movie ending with being lost at sea with all that gold... very creative :)

Wow, you did a fantastic job with this form! I love stories of ship wrecks and lost treasure. I really like the subtle rhyme throughout - and the last line is perfect.
