A Mind Made Up

A Mind Made Up

What are you looking for
Knocking on my door
Your heart to be returned
Now that I am spurned

With pleasure it is yours
Slammed shut are the doors
Take it in your hand
And try to understand

It’s no good coming back
When it’s love for me you lack
All my trust in you is gone
Since you found another one

No matter what you say
There will never be a way
You can talk until your blue
My love has gone for you

So take your heart and go away
And forever from me stay
No more knocking on my door
I’m not what you’re looking for.

The finality of this is strong. I guess it's all in the situation you're in, but sometimes forgiveness can't be so easily received. Sometimes you just have to move on. Really well written piece, Richard. And I hope she'll be able to move on as well!

Wow...good for you. But then again...sometimes you need to forgive and remember that anyone can fall. No one is infallable, Richard. Hugs.

I enjoyed reading this one. It reminded me of the subject of some old rock songs I used to listen to such as that one that goes: I hear you knocking but you can't come in!!

wow Richard, I guess you have made up your mind... it's hard to hear someone go on and on, when all trust is broken. I have a bad boyfriend, who knocks on my door...i wish I had the nerve to turn away and not listen... always~ Linda
