About This Poem
Dancing in Dark Caves
You will not find me in darkness
or harsh spoken words intemperate
you will not find me in neglect
but in soft spoken words lovingly tendered.
I live in a field of passion
somewhere behind green eyes
a field fragrant with blossoms
that my senses cannot deny.
I lie in shadows of moonlight
pearl essence on milky white skin
and sometimes I lie in open fields
dancing with love imagined and then
spoils my soul with morning bees
tenderly upon each bloom
the sun rises to it's nadir
and my flesh is mightily consumed.
I dance in dark caves
scarves magenta in pale moonlight
bangles on my wrist and ankles
dancing for my life.
Dancing for the future.
Dancing for all I dream,
and in my dreams...
I dance.
