Deep Promenade

We are to go to the promenade
The one that is by the harbour
We will sit on the side
Or perhaps somewhere on the pier
And watch how the sun is setting
Going behind bright violet clouds
Overshadowed by heavy orange rays
We are to sit right there
And listen to ships honking
And fishermen hanging by the old bar
With real machos and bikers and indigos
And hippies and Playboy like girls
But we will be sitting on the side
Wondering about the light
And how it makes the salty air twinkle
We are to go to the promenade
Where the touch of breeze can be so soothing
And if we go a little further
We shall have swim under this palette of the sky
We are to go to the promenade
The one that lies by the harbour.
