About This Poem

Sweet Rain

Sweet rain drops tapping on the window panes
leaving trails on sills and ivy
in a rush like soft liquid,
crystals fall, then vanish
‘neath the thirsty earth
and nourishes
the flowers;
earth worms
too!

    Oooh I quite like this. And thought it was most clever how you described the rain droplets gliding across the glass and then eventually to the ground... it felt perfect considering how the nonet form dwindles down one syllable at at time. Vibrant images!

    What a serene moment! Great job with the form as I found it somewhat difficult.

    My sis, my friend. I am so tardy in replying to my email, comments and messages. I have not forgotten my dear poetry sisters and my friends though. From time to time I do visit, but hoping to be here more often soon. Thanks for reading and for your encouraging words as always. I love this write of yours..it reminds me of back home in the country as a little girl, the rain drops were amazing on the giant trees we had around us especially the mango trees. loving this. One love. Joy Wells

    I really love this especially when you turn the wet earthy smelling leaves and see the fat worms wiggle down..they move so fast...I've been at this scene, very nice
