a rainbow 
glitters around a full moon --
black ice

    I've always thought that ring around the moon somewhat of a quandary. A "nighttime rainbow" is really a lovely thought... and that black ice paints a nice picture of a very cold, very black night. This is the true essence of haiku as the old Japanese masters would be proud of.

    love this Debbie,, reminds me of my father(Farmer folklore) a ring around the moon, an eye on the sheep because of snow...yes lovely and clever poetry...
