About This Poem
Under Your Wings
Under Your Wings
You taught me how to fly
Through the path under your wings
An angel sent to me from the heavenly sky
One that only God could bring
You showed me a world where I could see
Even though I was born legally blind
You gave me the courage to go beyond my boundaries
To fly through a darkened sky where beauty was there for me to find
You taught me to be strong
To never surrender and become weak
You showed me a place in this world where I belong
A place you designed that only I could see
You allowed me to soar through the rain
Without ever doubting that my wings would drown
You knew that somehow I would find a way to gain,
Strength within my wings to stop me from going down
Today my soul flies freely through journey’s in the light shown
The light that you sent to me that brought the darkness to life
I’m never lost in my paths now because I have flown,
Under your wings by God so I could live to see beyond the blackened skies
This poem is made up.
