As The Rain Falls

As the Rain Falls As the rain falls for some, it brings on a sense of sorrow Perhaps the raindrops reflect our teardrops that we remember so A window through sad memories that opens up when it rains Showing all the scars clearly left open from past pain As the rain falls it leaves a nostalgic sound of melody One that reminds the soul that the sun will shine again Soothing perhaps that tomorrow from within our memories We might just find a way to make the deep wounds finally mend As the rain begins to taper off leaving only puddles left on the ground The window begins to close once more until the next rainfall Still reflections of our tearful trace remains there lost and drowned Trying so desperately to penetrate the rays of sunshine to dry them all

Sorrow comes and goes as the raindrops dried by rays of sunshine. Lovely done, my sweet friend Gail. Thanks, loved always, bl

Gail, as always, you are a fine and delightful poet. I always enjoy reading your words. I'm sorry that I don't do it more often. This one was very good but there was one discrepancy that bothers me. I think that the last line should say "accept" instead of "penetrate". Only because the puddle has to have the warmth of the sun to dry it up. Other than that, I thought everything else was perfect in its form. thanks for sharing. Rockman :-)

I also meant to mention. I would have liked to enter your latest contest with my poem "A Quivering Heart", but I don't want to change the title to fit the bill. I hope you'll read it anyway and give me your thoughts on it. Thanks. Rockman (aka Randy) :-)

Dear Gail, Beautiful writing among tears! Rain falls, tears follow, sun comes, tears go and back again. The circle of life! Without the opposites life would be so boring, it wouldn’t even exist, Beauty wouldn’t exist. I loved your poem and the images it presents so vividly!
