About This Poem
A Positive Stance
Eyes blind, yet I see what's
before me,
true and pure with no
prejudice.
Ears deaf, if ever so briefly,
yet I hear the sound of
heavenly bliss.
Taste is gone, everything is
bland,
but something so sweet is what
I taste.
Feelings numb, unable to
withstand,
a feeling that can't be replaced.
And here I stand, as I entered
this world,
I'm fully clothed you know.
An understanding now unfurled,
yet confused from head to toe.
The irony is for you to decide,
the concept of which is often
implied.
