Waltzing Decrees 

Waltz
with me
One
two, three
Count your steps
with ease
Waltz
with me
if you please
hands holding waist
gentle tease
Easy
that’s
my toes
soft spoken
whispered
pleas
Waltzing
breeze



It's called a "Waltz Wave" introduced by Kim Merryman on Blog.
It has 19 lines with the following syllable pattern:
1,2,1,2,3,2,1,2,3,4,3,2,1,2,3,2,1,2,1.  You can split words to 
make the syllables fit the pattern, if you please

    Before I lost the use of my legs, I loved to dance, especially waltz. I love this poem because it so light and airy and you can imagine dancing to this. This is quite a unique form and I think you have done a great job. Well done for showing the rest of us how to do this. Pam x

    You have done a great job with this new form. I'll have to check it out. I like all the rhyme with short lines, which I have found hard.

    I miss dancing....Waltz,poka,and slow dance I learned as a child from dancing with my mom.My dad didn't like to dance that much. I loved the waltz with its steps that would seem to glide...Ahh yes..Your write brought out some memories.. :o) Very nice...

    My husband danced only a couple of times with me in his lifetime. I adore dancing...especially the slow dance with someone special. I don't recall the last one I had. Though I'm a free spirit and dance here alone when the feeling strikes.

    This is a masterful "Waltz Wave", I enjoyed reading this delightful poem a lot this afternoon! You have written a delightful piece, one of grandiosity! Great Work!! PS "Easy now" is 3 syllables, but you have it at a 2 syllable location. Just thought you would like to know.
