Mirror Mirror on the wall
Who really is the fairest of them all?
How do you know? How do you decide?
Why do you judge by only the outside?
To most of us, you’re certainly not a friend
You knock us down if we’re not the latest trend
You make us see ourselves by your own perspective
To how we look, you’re always objective
We either need to cut the hair, lose some weight, or make it all over
But this is no easy task, we feel we need luck and a four leaf clover
Your opinion is always the beginning of our demise
Cause you look at us with your own opinion, not with the Father’s eyes
You constantly beat us down and tell us we’re not enough
You say you can fix us, we just need the right stuff
What if we didn’t care about who you thought looked best
What if we lived for something greater, not just for your daily test
What if we didn’t care about the things that you show
Cause we have a God who finds us beautiful, something without him we would never know
For he made us all in his perfect image
Through him we’ve entered the big leagues, we don’t have time for your little scrimmage
When it boils down, whose opinion will matter?
He’s the all powerful God, and you’re just a mirror that anyone can shatter
So I will find my beauty in Him, I’m taking you off the wall
Cause in his eyes, we can all be the fairest of them all
