Simply A Woman

As a mother I am expected to care for my children; to
love them; teach them, feed them , correct them, help
them understand ....A loving task and as a mother I am happy to do all of that it's not always easy ; but I try to do the best I can......
As a wife I am expected to be loving ,supportive, make compromises,
have a plan.... I'm a wife it's my part I understand and sometimes I have to be both the woman and the man and for the most
part I succeed.... but once in a while I want to be appreciated and not do things just because Its expected of me; sometimes I just need someone to be there for me; someone whose willing to help out whenever I need , listen and to love me just as I am................
As a friend I'm supposed to set time for chats, go shopping, catch a movie, sit back , enjoy a few glasses of wine; have a few laughs....
and at other times be the anchor and comfort when things go bad.... Do whatever is necessary to lend a hand.... and trust me for a friend I'd be willing to do more than that......
As a woman my days are filled with lots of things ; I don't accomplish all I set out to do or be; but I'm simply a woman flaws and uncertainties but I can reassure you I'm happy just being me ...
I'm not Venus encarnate a love slave a goddess.. I don't have riches like Yaya Gabor my spending habits are few and modest...
Im not June Cleaver I spend most my time in my Pjs and my beds aren't always made .....
I can't drive around looking dangerously fabulous or be someone who loves trouble; It's just not who I am....
and that's ok with me ; I was not meant to live wild and free I have a family that needs me; I can't live like Thelma and Louise but I'm happy being simply a woman I'm happy being me.. and as Marilyn Monroe would once quote: "I don't mind living in a man's world as long as I can be a woman in it" Or " I never dropped anyone I believed in . I'm sure in the latter quote MM was referring to men but here I'm quoting for me " That's why I love being who I am and being simply a woman will always work for me.,,,,
